Heatmap

A heatmap is a visualization of user behavior on a page: clicks, mouse movement, scroll depth, all rendered as colored overlays. Hot spots show where attention concentrates; dead zones show where it doesn’t.

Heatmaps are qualitative rather than quantitative. They’re best used alongside analytics to answer “why” behind a conversion rate change: users clicked here instead of there, they never scrolled past this element, they missed the CTA entirely.
