Large Language Model (LLM)

A large language model is a type of AI trained on massive text datasets to generate human-like language, answer questions, and reason across topics. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity all use LLMs.

For marketing, LLMs power both the tools that produce content (generation) and the answer engines that cite content (retrieval). Understanding how they extract and represent information is the foundation of AEO and GEO.
