Urgency Mechanism

An urgency mechanism is a legitimate reason for the buyer to act now rather than later: capacity limits, cohort start dates, price increases on a specific date, seasonal windows. Fake urgency backfires; real urgency converts.

Real urgency is baked into how the business operates. Services businesses can only take on a certain number of new clients at once. Cohort programs have real start dates. When the reason is honest, urgency accelerates decisions without erosion of trust.
