Customer Data Platform (CDP)

A Customer Data Platform is software that unifies customer data from every source into a single profile per person, then makes that profile available to marketing, sales, and analytics tools. Identity resolution is a core CDP capability.

CDPs differ from CRMs (which manage sales relationships) and from data warehouses (which store data for analytics). A CDP is the operational customer database that other systems act on.
