CCPA

The California Consumer Privacy Act is California’s data privacy law, effective since 2020 and expanded by the CPRA in 2023. Grants California residents rights over their personal information similar to GDPR though with different specifics.

CCPA applies to businesses handling data of California residents that meet certain size or revenue thresholds. Rights include the right to know what’s collected, delete it, opt out of sale, and be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
