Trigger-Based Email

A trigger-based email is sent in response to a specific action or event: signing up, abandoning a cart, hitting a usage milestone, reaching a renewal date. It’s the opposite of a scheduled batch send.

Trigger-based emails typically outperform batch sends by 3–8x on every metric because the timing is relevant. The complexity is worth it: it’s the difference between marketing that feels like it’s paying attention and marketing that feels like spam.
