Distribution-First Content

Distribution-first content is written for a specific channel first, then optionally adapted to others. The opposite is writing a piece and hoping it fits every channel, which produces content that fits none well.

Every channel has its own rhythm. LinkedIn wants scroll-stopping hooks. Twitter wants tight one-liners. A newsletter wants voice and story. Writing distribution-first means the content is native to where it lands.
